From Weyer the tour leads us along a narrow, idyllic, paved path past the Katzenstein Mill back to the Enns, which we now follow. With magnificent views of the Enns Valley, we soon reach Großraming. The town centre lies on the opposite bank, while the main route of the Enns Cycle Path continues on this side of the river.
The Enns Cycle Path also takes us to the Carriage Museum, which is well worth a visit. Following a small paved road, we ride through several farmsteads and descend into the valley of the Rodelbach stream. Just before the power station there is a short, steep climb, but immediately afterwards we enjoy a fast descent down a series of bends. Our next destinations, Reichraming with the National Park Visitor Centre and Losenstein, await us after a delightful ride through meadows, orchards, and gentle landscapes. The valley now becomes narrower as our tour continues.
Leaving Losenstein via Goldgrubenstraße, a paved road carries us at a leisurely pace for the next few kilometres to Trattenbach with its Valley of the Pocketknife Makers. Staying on the left bank of the Enns, we then head north towards Garsten with its monastery. From here we reach the beautiful town of Steyr with its historic old town centre.
Here we also meet the Steyrtal Cycle Path, which – if we feel like it – can take us on a ride of nearly 50 kilometres to Hinterstoder with its railway station. From there it is possible to take the Pyhrn railway to Selzthal/Liezen, with connections to Schladming/Radstadt. This way, we have the option of returning to Radstadt by train in around 2 ½ hours.
