Rosenkogel- Kulmweg, Puch bei Weiz

The apple village of Puch is the starting point for a true "journey into paradise". The circular hiking trail leads up to the Kulm at 975 m, which was already inhabited in Celtic times and offers a magnificent panoramic view.
This hike is particularly beautiful in spring when the trees are in bloom and the village is enveloped in a cloud of white and delicate pink blossom, and in fall, when the 25 km long Apple Road is transformed into a paradise of ripe apples.

However, the region around the apple village of Puch has much more to offer.

Numerous fruit farms invite you to taste their apples and offer many delicious delicacies in their farm stores and 24-hour stores so that you can take a piece of Eastern Styria home with you. Or we can enjoy not only the view, but also the entertaining stories with which Puch storyteller Marion Wiesler will whisk you away to apple paradise on the five idyllically placed audio loungers at Hochgartl in Puch, Singerberg, ElzerRoas, Apfelschlössl and the apple pavilion at Biohof Schloffer.

To Google Maps for the calculation of the journey.

We start the circular route at the municipal office in Puch bei Weiz.

We head in the direction of Puch-Eben, then turn left past the sports field into the forest. Steadily uphill we come to the "Kreuzwaldkreuz" cross, where we cross the road and after a short stretch turn left uphill towards "Ramhof" (path no. 9). We keep to the right and walk past the water reservoir towards the summit.

Now we are rewarded with a magnificent view. If we are lucky and reach the summit on a clear, beautiful day, we can see as far as the Pannonian lowlands.

After these wonderful impressions, we continue downhill, turn left at the Kulmwirt and pass the "Hoader" farmstead, the Hofersiedlung and the "Hoaderbauernkapelle" chapel before returning to our starting point at the Puch municipal office.
