- We start at the main square of St. Ruprecht an der Raab, the central starting point of all cycle paths and racing bike tours, and cycle leisurely out of town towards the south. On the lightly trafficked accompanying road of the B64 we reach Ludersdorf-Wilfersdorf near the town of Gleisdorf.
- Here we take a sharp left in the middle of the town, cycle under the Südautobahn motorway and continue south through the Raab valley. We pass villages in the middle of the Raab valley such as St. Margarethen an der Raab or Paurach, where we turn left to reach Edelsbach near Feldbach.
- Up to now, the tour has been a leisurely roll through the Raab valley, but now the section through the Vulkanland is a bit more demanding. Passing small settlements and farms, we soon reach the only challenging climb, where we have to overcome about 150 metres in altitude.
- Afterwards we cycle downhill towards Hofstätten an der Raab where we return to the Raab valley we are already familiar with.
- The way back leads us through the town of Gleisdorf and via Albersdorf-Prebuch back to St. Ruprecht an der Raab. Shortly before St. Ruprecht an der Raab, we can either cycle directly back to the town or make a nice loop around the town to the east and return to the starting and finishing point via the district of Arndorf.
Enjoy the numerous gourmet stations of the Volcano Land and delight in regional products.
There are several parking spaces available on the
main square in St. Ruprecht an der Raab. Alternatively, about 150 m away, past the Hotel Locker & Légere and the Marktheurigen Strobl, there are numerous parking spaces at the large park in the middle of St. Ruprecht an der Raab.
