Lieglsteig

Closed
Der Lieglsteig liegt in der Gemeinde Tragöß - St. Katharein | Erlebnisregion ERZBERG LEOBEN.
The starting point for the hike is the Gasthaus zur Post in Tragöß-Oberort. At the beginning, the trail climbs steeply for a short distance in the direction of the vicarage and follows the signs through an old logging road. Further on a slightly ascending path leads to above the Tonibauergütl's, from there it continues on a climb. After crossing the Tonibauerbacherl we are above the Maurergütl and it goes again briefly rising along the slope to the Pölsbach. We cross a meadow and go down the access road of the Pölsbachergut again past the Hubertus cross to the crossroads. Here you have the option to walk along the Brandweg to Pichl-Großdorf or past the Calvary Chapel (Lindenhof) back to Oberort.

The Lieglsteig goes back to the time of the owner family of the Pölsbachergut with the family name "Liegl". At a time when all paths were walked, it was the shortest connection to the church, the Maurergütl and the Lindenhof.
