The Lantschern loop combines 16 km of idyllic sections with quiet asphalt paths - ideal for an extended run or a sporty walking session. From the starting point at the Irdning leisure center, the route first takes you through the village and towards the Capuchin monastery.

Along the Katzensteig trail and the Winklern-Erlsbergweg trail, you run through the Gatschen area, where you are accompanied by wide meadows and an impressive panorama. Continue towards Lantschern/Quilk, past the Puttererseehof farm and through Sallaberg am See to Hohenberg.

Turn left before Gasthaus Zechmann and cross the Hohenberg - with one last view of the surrounding mountains. You run along the last section close to the river and then turn left again to return to the starting point.

This mainly asphalted route combines quiet sections with sweeping views and is perfect for a longer, more enduring loop.
By train to “Stainach-Irdning” and then by bus 940/941 to “Irdning Abzweigung Donnersbach” or join the running loop directly behind the station.
