- Coming from Schladming: Turn right before the bridge overpass at Trautenfels Castle and take the first exit at the traffic circle towards Irdning. - Coming from Liezen: Turn right before the bridge overpass at Trautenfels Castle and take the 3rd exit at the traffic circle towards Irdning. Follow this road, which leads over a railroad crossing and over the Enns bridge. Turn left at the village sign and park at the large parking lot of the Irdning recreational facility/sports field.
From the start at the Irdning leisure center, walk towards the village and turn right at the junction to Donnersbach. After a few meters, keep right again towards Raumberg/Altirdning, but immediately turn right again onto Moosjägerweg. This leads you to Öblarnerstraße, which you follow to the west for approx. 500 m before taking the next turn-off to the left.
Now begins the steady ascent over the Bleiberg up to the Oberer Bleiberg - a section that will make your thighs burn. Then it's downhill through Gritschenberg back to Öblarnerstraße, which you now follow relatively straight for quite a time.
At the junction for Niederstuttern, turn left and cross the Enns. Before the railroad crossing, turn right through the greenery, more precisely along a floodplain landscape with natural ponds and wet meadows (nature conservation area) - accompanied by the railroad tracks, to Trautenfels.
Below Trautenfels Castle, turn right at the parking lot and run back to the Irdning leisure center, which you can already see - a challenging but scenically rewarding loop for trained runners.

In the section near Niederstuttern, it is worth taking a closer look: The wet meadows in the Trautenfels nature conservation areas not only provide a habitat for numerous animals, but are also a paradise for flower lovers in spring. Particularly striking: the purple Siberian iris, which blooms here in all its glory - a quiet moment of nature that invites you to pause for a moment.
