E-Bike Tour to Seewiesen, the Styrian Heiligenblut
A leisurely cycling tour, with a gentle uphill ride (and of course, a downhill return), mostly on traffic-calmed roads and cycling paths, combined with magnificent mountain panoramas.
From Bruck an der Mur, we first follow the Mürztal Cycling Route R5 to Kapfenberg. In the city center (Europaplatz), we keep left towards Thörl and from there follow the Thörlertal Cycling Route. This leads us to Thörl, and after a short incline, we reach Aflenz, known for its historic provostry.
We continue cycling towards Turnau, but instead of turning right into the town, we stay on the main road, which is slightly busier here, and continue straight towards Au.
From this point, the route gradually ascends to the small village of Seewiesen, home to the beautiful St. Leonhard parish church.
A magnificent view of the Hochschwab opens up here, and by turning left at the distinctive Archduke Johann frame (monument), we can continue cycling a short distance further until we reach a barrier.
For the return journey, we follow the same route as on the way there. However, in the Aflenz area, we can choose a small alternative route along the Seeberg Cycling Route to Thörl, which involves no additional effort.
