Blochplatz trail Joglland trail, St. Jakob im Walde
The Blochplatz trail on the Joglland trail in St. Jakob im Walde, which has been awarded the Styrian cross-country skiing seal of approval, is perfect for the little cross-country skiing pros among us.
Children need variety - and cross-country skiing is no exception. The Jogllandloipe in St. Jakob im Walde is perfect for families who want to enjoy this sport together. After a child-friendly round on the Blochplatzloipe, the specially created children's play mountain awaits the little ones. Here they can not only have a snowball fight, go sledging or bobsleighing, but of course also improve their cross-country skiing technique.

More information
- The shortest of the various trails on the Jogllandloipe in St. Jakob im Walde is the green-marked Blochplatzloipe
- We start this loop at the start/finish arena, where there is also a ski rental shop
- This circuit is particularly popular with beginners and families, as there are only around 30 meters of altitude to conquer
- After the start area, follow the trail to the right into a small wooded area and pass the snowmaking pond
- The first section uphill follows in a left-hand bend. But immediately afterwards we run briefly on a flat section before reaching the first descent, which takes us to the so-called Blochplatz
- Here, however, we must not take too much momentum with us, as we turn sharp left at the end
- We continue to follow the trail into the next descent. After the first 1.5 kilometers, we still have a small steep section with a subsequent downhill section of around 200 meters to complete
- On the last few meters to the start/finish area, we can already decide whether to run another lap or warm up in the inn
During the winter season and especially during the semester break, special taster courses for children take place.
