Feel-good quality in municipal buildings. A central theme and a matter of course for the communities in the Holzwelt Murau. Together with architects and master builders, they demonstrate that wood creates atmosphere and can be used in a variety of ways. This decades-long tradition has prevailed in the Holzwelt Murau.

A special place of encounter with wood is the "Dörfl" for cycle tourism in Teufenbach. A rest stop made entirely of wood, the Holzwelt Murau is also home to school buildings (nature park school), riding halls, multi-purpose halls, children's playgrounds, housing estates, kindergartens and parents' houses, the Murau vocational school and, last but not least, the Murau town hall. A broad spectrum of municipal timber buildings provides interesting insights into a new quality of municipal buildings.

This tour is an excellent opportunity for a study trip, especially for municipal excursions!

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here towards Murau. After Niederwölz turn left. The parking lot is right next to the IBS company in Teufenbach.

Coming from Murau via Katsch an der Mur and Frojach. Turn right in the village of Teufenbach. The parking lot is right next to the IBS company in Teufenbach.

The Holzwelttour starts in Teufenbach. Walk along the main road, past Mariahof railroad station and on to Neumarkt. Turn left here and continue to Pichlschloss. At Pichlschloss, turn around and take the same route back to the Grebenzen golf course. Keep left here and walk along the main road to St. Lambrecht. Here you turn back at the market pond and walk back along the same path to the St. Blasen clearing. Keep left here and take the Lessachweg back to the starting point.
