More information
Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here towards Murau.
Coming from Tamsweg via Ranten or Stadl an der Mur, continue straight on to Murau.
Branching off from the Mur Cycle Path at Murau's main square, the family-friendly cycle path runs mostly off the main road until it reaches its destination in the village of Ranten.
From Murau's main square (Schillerplatz), cycle past the Gasthof Hotel Lercher to the two traffic circles. Here you take the exit in the direction of Ranten. After about 300 meters, just before a bridge, turn left and cycle along a somewhat narrower path towards the forest. After a small section of forest, continue directly alongside the main road along Ranten. After a short time, you cycle through another section of forest. Shortly before the “Waschlrad”, the path branches off to the left so that you arrive directly at your destination of Ranten, far away from the main road (along the Rantenbach stream).
Please note: the route runs along the main road for approx. 500m before the village of Tratten.
The ideal time for this tour is from May to October.
