At the foot of the Leonhardiberg mountain lies the traditional inn Eichholzer, which has been an integral part of hospitality in Murau for many years. As a popular meeting point for numerous clubs and institutions in the region, the house offers not only culinary delights but also a piece of lived community.

Enjoy down-to-earth midday cuisine with regional flair or let yourself be individually pampered in the evenings – by prior arrangement – by the kitchen. For parties, celebrations, and events, a catering service is available that leaves no wishes unfulfilled.

Sporty active guests and sociable groups will also get their share: The in-house curling rink invites you to play, and during the cold season, the covered ice rink provides winter entertainment. Curling sticks are available free of charge with consumption. In the summer months, the rink is also used for asphalt curling – ideal for sporty outdoor entertainment.

For guests wishing to stay longer, two newly renovated holiday apartments for 2–4 people each are available. Cosily furnished and with a splendid view of the surrounding nature, they offer the perfect retreat after an eventful day.

Whether local or visitor – at the inn Eichholzer, you will experience true Styrian warmth in a cozy atmosphere.

Welcome to the Gasthaus Eichholzer in Murau!

For over 30 years, I, Ferdinand Eichholzer, have been running our inn in the 5th generation with a lot of passion and genuine hospitality. My wife, Edith Eichholzer, delights our guests with regional specialties from the kitchen and is always concerned for the well-being of everyone as the good soul of the house. We are supported in this by Christian, who perfectly complements our well-coordinated team.

Tradition and regionality are more than just buzzwords for us – they are reflected in everything we do. Our guests appreciate the personal atmosphere, the honest service, and the feeling of being among friends.
