Fancying a romantic get-away with an amazing view? You have just found your perfect destination. Chalet Elsa is a stand-alone heritage building with parts of the building dating back to the 15th century which hosts visitors from near and far on the first floor (separate appartment) following thorough renovations. The holiday apartment includes two master bedrooms featuring king size beds (one with a sunny Eastward facing balcony with a stunning view and deckchairs, the other with a South-facing balcony as well as a bunker bed). The third - small - bedroom hosts a 1,40m wide double bed. The apartment is equipped with a bathroom featuring a shower and toilet as well as a double handwash basin. In addition, there is a separate toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped.
The outdoor sauna featuring a panoramic view with a terrace and deck-chairs as well as cold water can be used in consultation with the owners (access through private area of Chalet Elsa). A roofed patio with a large table comfortably seating 8 people invites you to spend your pasttime in the warmer months. A gas-fired BBQ is situated next to it. The old apple tree is perfect for using the double hammock in summer. A large parking lot offers space for cars (snow chains may be required in winter). In front of the house, the huge trampoline invites you to use it. There is also a basic swing under the apple tree. As the house enjoys a privileged location directly below the castle of Obermurau, it is only accessible by stairs from the parking lot. Therefore, it is not suitable for mobility-reduced people or toddlers (no stair fences available). Pets are welcome. Chalet Elsa is the ideal vacation spot for 1 to 2 families (depending on the set-up) with kids or two couples. High-speed WIFI available. No smoking. We look forward to receiving your inquiry.

Host information
As I am a passionate hostess, I decided to open the first floor of Chalet Elsa to guests from around the world. Chalet Elsa - named after my beloved grandma - has been in the family since 1954. After my grandmother passed away, the chalet was renovated with the help from my family throughout 2013 to 2022. It now offers modern amenities. I have been living and working in Vienna since 1996 and love to spend my spare time with family and friends in Murau. I have a good network in Murau ensuring perfect care for guests.
