Culinary and communicative center in the alpine village "AlmDorf Tonnerhütte" at 1.600m above sea level. Best starting point for hiking, walking or climb summits at the Zirbitzkogel.

The alpine village "AlmDorf Tonnerhütte" is family owned since 1937. 3 alpine huts and 8 apartments are idyllically located at 1.600m above sea level surrounded by alpine meadows and pine forests, with a panorama that embraces the soul. Powerfully enthroned sits the Zirbitzkogel with its 2.396m above the alpine village. Below the nature park Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen with its gentle mountain ridges opens up. The seclution is luxury - eal to escape from the hectic world.

The culinary and communicative center in the alpine village is the Tonnerhütte with it's alpine kitchen. The cooking is fresh, digestible and according to season. The ingredients are mostly organic and from the region – just like in the past.

Every day, chef Wolfgang and his team prepare several traditional dishes, one of them vegetarian and basic. Ready-to-eat meals we dont's serve at our hut. Cooking is done with electricity from the own hydroelectric power station or wood. You can really enjoy and relax it in the pine wood-smelling room. For dinner we recommend homemade juices, crystal clear water from the alpine well, exquisite Austrian wines or a good glass of beer.
