The Tauernwindpark supplies renewable energy from regional generation.
At 1900 meters above sea level, the first wind turbines went into operation in 2002, followed by others and photovoltaic modules. Although the power plant has since had to relinquish the title of "Europe's highest wind farm", this has not affected its energy production. A gradual renewal of the plant began in 2018.
The wind farm is freely accessible at all times.
