Mühlen

"The Zirbitzlamm” - wool, fur and lamb from the sheep farm in Mühlen.

The farm has been family-owned since 1898 and is managed organically out of conviction.

The Zirbitz sheep, mainly Tyrolean mountain sheep, Jura sheep and Merino land sheep, spend the summer months on the pastures and alpine meadows with lush grasses and herbs on the sunny side of the Zirbitzkogel. The grazing of the alpine pastures is positive for man and nature. Thus we ensure the preservation of the alpine pastures in the nature park, which promotes the diversity of plants and animals. Furthermore, the herb-rich diet as well as the farm's own stress-free slaughtering give our lamb its unmistakable aroma.

Their dams lamb all year round, thus ensuring a continuous supply of lamb.

By enjoying these lamb specialties you support the biodiversity in the Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen Nature Park! From 1 May to the end of September you can also get our products at the campsite!
