The municipality is located in the west of the beautiful province and is considered the gateway to Styria: Both from Salzburg Lungau and from Carinthia via the Turracher Höhe or coming via the Flattnitz!
Turracher Höhe invites you to linger with its crystal-clear and idyllic mountain lakes, surrounded by the gentle yet imposing Nockberge mountains and offers a unique natural backdrop in every season!
With over 256 km², the municipality is the largest municipality in the district of Murau!
