This is the patron god of springs (Ioanis), who emerges from a trough shaped like a fish's mouth to give fresh spring water.
This is a unique project. It highlights the great importance and the invaluable water supply in Styria, especially in the district of Murau. Water constantly gushes out of the trough and is kept in circulation by a circulation pump. The fountain itself is made of marble and concrete.
The sight was created by the artist Rudi Hirt and is located on the fire station square in Teufenbach.
The attraction is freely accessible at all times!
