Goethe at the Wandelbühne theater camps - how does that fit together? Quite simply: like a match made in heaven. Because “Faust” is not only a dramatic masterpiece, it is also full of surprising twists and turns and deeper meanings. At first glance, the play may seem dark and perhaps overly philosophical, but those who get to the heart of the matter will also discover humorous and ironic elements that cast the work in a new light. The Wandelbühne reinterprets “Faust” as a comedy between whimsical magic and unexpectedly funny dialogs, trying to find an answer to the question of what the meaning of life might be.
