Almenland-Hiking Trail
Open
This trail is the ultimate hike through the core area of the nature park - from the Teichalm to the Brandlucken, with plenty of places to stop for refreshments.
The trail begins at the Teichalmsee with its sights - from the lake to the wooden ox and the Teichalm moor. The trail then leads north of the lake to the Sommeralmstraße, which is crossed at the Harrerhütte. Now the trail goes up along forest roads, past the Camping-Pension Holzmeister, to the "Schwoabauerkreuz" cross at the foot of the Osser. From alpine pasture to alpine pasture, the trail leads to the three "weather crosses" and back out onto the Sommeralm road. Now the landmark of the Sommeralm, the windmill, is already directly in front of us.
Now we walk out above the road to the Stoakoglhütte. Again we walk across meadows and pastures to the "Bucklige Lärche", the further path to Brandlucken is well marked. The end of the trail is marked by the oversized "wooden shoe" between the GH Unterberger, the Kornreitherhaus and the Bauernhofer Nature Hotel. The sight here is the Huab'n Theatre with its large open-air stage.
