Pötschen round - LACTOSAN Sportarena Kapfenberg

Closed
The ‘Pötschen-Runde’ bike route starts at the crèche in Kapfenberg. It goes uphill past the agricultural school. The Celtic Trail is crossed and the tour ends at the Lebenshilfe in Redfeld. The tour can also be combined with the Gemysag and 2 Rad Grill routes and extended to around 35 kilometres.

We start in Kapfenberg at the children's crèche signpost in the direction of Töllergraben and cycle past the farmstead of the agricultural school. We cross the bridge to the first crossroads, then continue left to the cycle route sign. We then cycle further to the right (old cart track) in the direction of Pötschen and pass the Tassler/Loidl farmstead. Our tour takes us back along the tarmac road towards Pötschen. We turn left at the back past a detached house and head straight on towards the Gallegger farmstead. We then continue in the direction of the B20 to the Max-Mell-Weg.

From Graz/Vienna: S6 Motorway Exit St. Marein

At the St. Marein motorway exit, turn right and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit towards Kapfenberg (B 116).

Continue straight, passing Euromarkt Kapfenberg on the left, until you reach the next roundabout. Again, take the second exit and stay on B 116 until you reach another roundabout.

Once more, take the second exit and continue straight for about 100 meters, until you see the daycare center in Hafendorf on the right. Here, turn right.

We start in Kapfenberg at the route sign near the daycare center and head towards Töllergraben, passing the farm of the agricultural school. We continue over the bridge until we reach the first crossroads, then turn left until we reach the cycling sign. After that, we continue to the right (an old cart path) towards Pötschen, passing the Tassler/Loidl farm. Our tour then follows the asphalt road back towards Pötschen. We pass a single-family house on the left from behind and ride straight ahead towards the Gallegger farm. Finally, we continue towards the B20 to the Max-Mell-Weg.

Kapfenberg is nestled in a stunning natural landscape and has also made a name for itself as an international sports and training city. Despite its dynamic development, Kapfenberg places great importance on maintaining a harmonious balance between life and work in an intact environment.

Even the city’s earliest inhabitants – the Celts – settled in Kapfenberg as early as the pre-Christian millennium. Along the Celtic Trail, visitors may catch a glimpse into the world of their ancestors.
