This leisurely hike takes us along a well-cleared municipal road into the Fölz. The gently ascending road into the Fölzgraben to the cozy Alpengasthaus Schwabenbartl is suitable for all age groups. Along the Fölz river, with a view of Fölzstein, we walk through a beautiful winter landscape. We enjoy the fresh air and look forward to a traditional Styrian snack, the famous "Ofenbratl" with semmelknödel and sauerkraut, or the "Bergsteigertorte" with coffee at the Schwabenbartl (Tel. 03861/3334, open year-round, closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays from December to April, and closed in November).
The estimated walking time for the route is about 1 hour.
