We begin our hike at the "Aufgang Geburtshaus" parking area in Alpl. The trail follows marker 740 to Rosegger’s birthplace. From there, we continue along part of the Christmettenweg, which leads right at the Lendkreuz, continuing on trail 740. At the next junction, we turn right and reach the Halterhütte at the foot of the Teufelstein.
The final meters up to the Teufelstein are a bit steeper, but from the top we enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. We continue our hike, following the trail markings toward Schanz. The trail gently descends, and once we arrive at Schanz, we turn right and follow the pilgrimage route 06A, which leads us through Häschlwald, Heuberg, and Bäreneben.
After about 1.5 hours, we reach the summit of Stanglalpe. (Alternatively, you can also take the new wind park road, which is the official mountain bike route to the Stanglalm.)
For the return, we head back via Bäreneben, but at the Walserkreuz, we turn left and hike via Graueck and Granegg back to Alpl. Passing the forest school, we return to the "Aufgang Geburtshaus" parking area.
