Beautiful trail in a beautiful location, with clear mountain air and invigorating climate in Mitterbach!

The entrance for the Erlauf cross-country ski trail is located opposite the valley station of the lifts.

The entire trail is located in a charming landscape with views of the nearby Gemeindealpe and the mighty Ötscher.

You can get to the slightly ascending Erlauf cross-country ski trail from the trail entrance opposite the valley station and also reach the "Mariazeller Land cross-country ski trail" on a connecting trail (classic).

Cross-country skiing fee:

Day ticket on a voluntary basis: € 4,00
Season ticket: € 42,00 (available at the municipality of Mariazell)

Journey to Mitterbach

We start opposite the inn Zum Sessellift. The trail leads us along streams and large fields in a circuit back to the starting point. A beautiful view of the Gemeindealpe and the Ötscher accompany us on the trip. Furthermore, we have the possibility to get to St. Sebastian on a connecting trail to the "Mariazeller Land Loipe".

The trail is also well suited for beginners!

Option 1: VOR regional bus 169 from Vienna main station to Mitterbach
Option 2: Westbahnhof or Hauptbahnhof to St. Pölten, then change to Mariazellerbahn
