The highest accessible wooden cross in the world is located in St. Barbara im Mürztal - Veitsch: the pilgrim cross. It is located at the crossroads of the most important European long-distance hiking trails and is a sign of peace and understanding between peoples. The accessible interior of the cross is divided into 7 thematically differently designed chambers. Ideally located along the Mariazellerweg 06 and perfectly suited for an energizing linger in our hectic times.
In the summer months the buffet at the pilgrim cross "Kreuzeck" is open, where drinks and food are served.
The pilgrim cross is open all year round from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission € 2, - to walk inside the cross (Attention: only coin toss possible!)
