The hotel, nestled in the mountainous and forested region of the Waldheimat, is a family-run business focused entirely on sustainable enjoyment with gourmet restaurant, inn, café and hotel.

In close cooperation with farmers, producers, and suppliers, a new Styrian cuisine has emerged in recent years. In the Wald & Heimat menu at our restaurant, Andreas Krainer serves dishes with modern charm and traditional details that are meant to remind us of our origins.

"Andreas Krainer emphasizes the Slow Food philosophy in our awarded restaurant with 4 toques, located near the S6, exactly halfway between Vienna and Graz, in collaboration with farmers and suppliers from the Mürztal region. Regionality, organic, fair trade, and Peter Rosegger's Waldheimat are the cornerstones of our "Wald & Heimat" tasting menu. Enjoy a new Styrian cuisine in the green heart of Austria."

The Krainer restaurant is a Kulinarium Steiermark establishment.

The restaurant is also distinguished with a green Michelin star and the tavern with the Michelin Bib Gourmand.
