The lumberjack museum in Mürzsteg-Lanau shows tools and exhibits from the 19th and 20th centuries that were available to woodworkers for the difficult and dangerous forest and woodwork at the time.
In addition to the more than 3,000 exhibits, the "Laftenhütte" gives you an insight into the life of woodcutters. This simple hut served the forest workers as a "hotel"!
The small lumberjack museum can be reached on foot in approx. 15 minutes from the center of Mürzsteg in the direction of Lanau.
