Das Flößmeisterhaus mit Arkadenhof

Bruck an der Mur

Reminds of the former importance of the Mur as a waterway. The house has double arched windows in the Renaissance style.

After the big fire in Bruck, building activity started. As a result, the city changed its appearance in the Renaissance style, splendid town houses were built, some of which are still well preserved today, such as the raft master's house.

The house from the 16th century, owned by raft masters for decades, reminds of the former importance of the Mur as a waterway.

The double arched window in the Renaissance style with fluted columns and richly ornamented rectangular frame and architrave as well as the two-storey arcade courtyard are worth seeing. Thus the Flößmeisterhaus is one of the most important houses in the city.
