In Mürzzuschlag in Styria, where the lovingly designed Brahms Museum - the only one of its kind in the world - was set up with a good dose of imagination.
"Johannes Brahms on summer vacation" is the theme of the eventful permanent exhibition of the museum in the composer's house during the summer months of 1884 and 1885. Brahms lived in Mürzzuschlag for a total of nine months, where he composed his fourth symphony in E minor as well as 30 songs and Choral works.
