Adventkonzert Kärntner Landesjugendchor

The State Youth Choir Carinthia/Koroška was founded in 2005 by the Carinthian Singers' Association with support from the Carinthian government as a project choir for young, talented singers from all over the federal state. The choir currently has around 55 members aged between 16 and 27 from various corners of Carinthia.

Highlights include concert tours to South Africa (2014), Japan (2019), and California/USA (2024), as well as major successes in international choir competitions – the State Youth Choir achieved the Grand Prix overall victory at "Praga Cantat" in the Czech Republic (2015), "Cracovia Cantans" in Poland (2018), and "Sound Waves Linz" (2023). The choir is taking its 20th anniversary this year as an opportunity to perform the large choir-orchestral work "Elijah" in June 2025 together with former choir members.

As a conclusion to the anniversary year, the young singers are looking forward to performing for the first time with an advent program in the Basilica of Mariazell.
