The path begins on the Nechnitz high plateau and leads over the beautiful Hubenhalt to the Teichalm. The lovely Nechnitz is particularly impressive with its location between Roter Wand and Schöckl. At the Teichalm, the Teichalmsee awaits you with all its possibilities - from a boat tour on the lake to a walk around or a rest by the water. A walk through the Teichalmmoor is also worthwhile. The path through the moor takes about 20 minutes, is easy to walk on the newly designed wooden plank path and ends at the "Wooden Oxen" on the lake. The way back then leads past the Gerlerkreuz and the district of Hintereben with its farms and the Nechnitz. This hike from the Nechnitz can also be easily combined with the wooden sculpture trail. It is best to start with the trail straight away, go up to the Gschaid-Nock and from there go towards Teichalm (path no. 2 & 740).
On the Nechnitz, the farmer, innkeeper and wood carver Erich Haider-Harrer designed the “wooden sculpture path” up to the Gschaid-Nock, which is well worth seeing.
