The starting point of this selective tour is at the
parking lot of the Krumpenloipe directly on the bypass road in Hafning. First you cross the district of Hafning with a steep climb to the quartz quarry and continue through the idyllic Rötzgraben past Styria's oldest spruce in the direction of Hiaslegg, before you turn left into an ancient servitude path towards the heights of Rötz and Vordernberg. On the Hohe Rötz, the former trade house Rötzhube stands on the right hand side and branching off to the left, the trail continues in a highly selective ascent (up to 20%) to the highest point on the Silbersberg. Here you can enjoy the view of the Klammkogel, the Trofaiach basin and the surrounding mountains, before it goes on an exciting route with partly terrain-like footpath to Friedauwerk, where you pass a worth seeing field / way chapel in the Trattning. Along the railroad line of the former Erzbergbahn the route leads on the cycle path back to Hafning and further to the starting point.
The route runs 2% on main roads, 11% on bike paths and 87% on side roads. The nature of these roads and paths are divided into 27% asphalt, 65% gravel and 8% off-road paths.
