The municipality of Pernegg is located directly on the Mur, 10 km south of Bruck an der Mur and 40 km north of Graz. Pernegg is part of the Mur cycle path R2 and the Drachentour mountain bike route and is therefore a mecca for cyclists. With the Pernegg and Mixnitz train stations on the southern railway line, the community of Pernegg is the gateway to the Almenland. This tour through the districts of Kirchdorf and Pernegg connects the two churches that dominate the townscape: The "Frauenkirche" in Pernegg is a well-known pilgrimage church with a baroque interior, the parish church on Kirchhügel in Kirchdorf is dedicated to St. Maximilian and is a late Gothic complex with defensive tower.
Pernegg/Mur, Café Steirerbusserl
Am Weg liegt die Schauturbine des Verbunds, die durch den gläsernen Verbau auch von außen gut besichtigt werden kann. Along the way is the association's display turbine, which can also be easily viewed from the outside thanks to the glass structure.
