A special gem is the widely known "Walpurgiskirche".
The church dedicated to St. Walpurga was built in 1070 by the Slavic nobleman Tridislaw and his wife Zlawa.
According to the legend, they lost their way while hunting and could not find their way back. Then a woman in white, flowing clothes appeared to them and shortly afterwards the two were found and rescued by their entourage.
A hermit interpreted the apparition as St. Walpurga and out of gratitude for the rescue they had the Walpurgiskirchlein built.
